General Servicing (Not available): Please note that AIRCON ASTIQUER is NOT offering "General Servicing" General servicing typically uses a vacuum cleaner to remove dust (not mold) from the aircon surfaces and clear choke at the drain pipe, it is not effective in removing dirt, gel liked substances nor bad smell from the fan coil. The benefits of "general Servicing" is often overly stated. Claims that it helps to improve the air quality, prevent water dripping and prolong the life-span of the air conditioner is often an over statement. But i have to agree that it improves the air flow if your filters are dirty, which you can easily wash them yourself. While General serving cleans the aircon covers making them look cleaner and making you "feel good", you might already be falling sick from a bacteria infested air conditioner. HydroJET ($79 each*, please refer to our published price list for more details) HydroJET is ASTIQUER's proprietary cleaning method that uses high pressured water jet (1500psi) to flush the fan coil and blower. This method is used when the fan coil is not dirty but the circular fan blower is choked. Certain air conditioner models are built in such a way that the water tray (drain pan) cannot be dismantled (eg. Daikin FTK -9series, Toshiba inverter's newer series) or difficult to dismantle models ( Fujitsu, Fuji or Carrier General series). There is a limited space for a vacuum brush to reach the circular fan blower. To clean the fan blower, a technician will have to dismantle the said blower (which will cost more), and often risk damaging the fan coil copper pipes. HydroJET is best suited for such application as said blower need not be dismantled and the powerful jet stream cleans better than to dismantle it and flushing with normal water pressure. .............................................................................................................................................................................................. Flexi Plan ( Strongly recommended) * from $150 per visit How many times have you asked the aircon guy to come and fix the water dripping problem only to have him come back again the next week? How many times have the aircon guy told you that despite having a maintenance contract, your air conditioner is very dirty and you need to fork out another $100-$150 for some "chemical servicing" and you go back to your landlord only to hear from the agent a few days later that the tenancy agreement states that all minor repairs less than $150 is to be borne by you? Flexi Plan is a win-win-win plan that seeks to enhance your interest, protect a landlord's investment and promote our good reputation. The root problem with modern air conditioners is that they are built more compact and as such they choke more rapidly. This is especially true when air conditioners are used in an all year hot and humid place like Singapore. The fan coil can become choked and moldy as soon as 1-3 years. When it is choked, general servicing is only a quick fix solution, with quick return call that frustrates everybody. A moldy and bacteria infested air conditioner is no longer a concern whether the air conditioner belongs to you or not, you are the occupant and it is your health that is at risk. Therefore, to solve the problem from the root is to conduct proper chemical cleaning for those air conditioners that you use regularly and simply wash the filters for those aircon less used. Quality service is far better than quantity servicing. While most household may have few air conditioners (eg, 4 units), they are probably using 1 or 2 units regularly. Why pay "cheap" maintenance contract (eg, $300 /yr), when what that you really need is one proper cleaning for one of your air conditioners per year, which cost $98 -$148 using our ChemJet servicing method. Therefore, is "cheap servicing" really cheap? You will receive an email report "real time". Normally, a simple domestic air conditioner should not take more than an hour for a proper diagnosis. But, commercial units may take longer time. Upon inspection of your air conditioning system, a picture can be taken and a report will be sent to your email account. Please note that we only provide email support, no fax, no printed copies. Based on our report, you can forward the email to any relevant person involved, for example, your landlord for any necessary action. Why should you be using our paid assessment service? 1) We are not selling new air conditioning system; we spend time really troubleshooting your system rather taking it as an opportunity to quickly conclude your system is beyond repair and needs replacement. 2) Often, your system is worth repairing but proper troubleshooting takes more time. Many components need to be properly inspected before concluding if your system is really worth repairing or not. Please note that Warranty for replacement parts is only applicable to that replacement part, not the entire system.
