Aircon Repair and troubleshooting

AIRCON ASTIQUER is highly specialized in systematic troubleshooting and we carry common parts on the move. We
publish our
price list, maintain fixed pricing with pre-printed receipt book for most common repair items. By doing so, we
maintain very high level of transparency and our customers are assured that we do not overcharge them.

A) Systematic troubleshooting of persistent water dripping issues. Our solution includes:
  • Chemical cleaning.
  • Modification of condensate drain pipe.
  • Installation of external water pump.
  • Installation of miniature water pump.

B) Cooling inefficiency problem: Our solution includes:
  • Troubleshooting of electronics/electrical components (electrical relays, starting capacitors, overload relay,
thermostats, PCB boards, inverter circuitry and more...
  • Heat exchange property problem.
  • Refrigerant problem – contamination, refrigerant flooding, shortage.
  • Wind power problem (electronics, motor)

C)Repair and Replacement of faulty fan motor. Our solution includes:
  • If you have a jammed motor or a noisy screechy motor, it can be repaired on the spot without replacement.
  • But if the motor is "burnt out", replacement is the only option.
  • But often, it is simple and cheap replacement of faulty  fan motor running capacitor

D) Replacement of faulty compressor.
  • Asmuch as we know, nobody cuts open a faulty compressor to repair in Singapore, although it is practiced in
    some 3rd world countries.
  • It is important to ask what causes the compressor to fail in the first place.
  • When a compressor fails, it is very likely that the gas system had turned acidic. Has it got a history of gas leak
and where is it leaking from? Our advice is that if that faulty system has a history of gas leak, it is safer to replace
the entire system, meaning changing the copper pipes too.
  • Before a compressor fails, it might have caused lots of wear and tear and as such, the filters might be choked,
replacing the filters is a must.
  • Before a compressor fails, it could be drawing very high current, causing stress and possible damage to the
electrical relays and starters. These parts must be properly checked.
  • Flushing of the gas system to remove the dirt and acid is very important.
  • Never replace with a second hand compressor unless you can be sure that its compressor oil has not turned
acidic or filled with slug and dirt particles. Putting in an acidic compressor will sabotage your entire gas system,
causing gas leak to occur at places least likely to occur; at the connecting pipes above the false ceiling, inside
walls or behind cabinets. Our advice, never replace with a secondhand compressor. The compressor is not
expensive, it is the labor charges that's expensive in Singapore. Don't attempt to save $50 and risk losing your
    system.
E) Rebuilding of control circuitry logic for obsolete models and replacement of faulty remote controllers
and PCB board.
  • Not to worry if you can't wait 2 months for your electronics parts to be shipped in or your system is an obsolete
model. We can build control circuits for you on the spot. Control logic built by us uses very reliable components
and they are usually more reliable that the original parts. Pricing is about the same as the original parts.

F) Power tripping problem (overloaded or earth leak?)
  • Power tripping can be as simple as a faulty starting capacitor and is fast and cheap to replace.
  • It may be due to a faulty circuit breaker.
  • It may be due to loose wirings.
  • It may be due to a faulty fan motor or compressor.

G) Noisy fan motor and a rattling condenser.
  • Noise can be due to loose parts and a badly installed base plate.
  • It can be amplified when the fan blower is too dirty causing the circular fan blade to jump as it rotates.
  • Noise can also be caused by a choke fan coil as the wind goes into a turbulent state.
  • Noise can be due to a faulty motor bearing.
  • Noise can be due to wearing out or hardening of the shock absorbers.
